When loneliness sets in...

Wonder why many kids nowadays are so lonely even at home. Neva really felt that way when i was their age SLIGHTLY more than a decade ago. Ok, sometimes i did but somehow it got passed quickly. And I really liked going to school (minus the homework) even up till the NIE/NTU days. As much as most of us dun like to study, we still love going to school everyday. Coz that's when u get to meet your friends and play/suffer/quarrel/fight together.

Since returning to teaching after wasting most of the 2years 4months somewhere in Singapore, it seemed that my working hours got extended to almost 24hrs.

--------------------------------------
Mon - Fri
7am - 1pm => Official working hrs / sch hrs

1pm - 6pm => usually marking /meeting /seminar /workshop /course /misc work

2pm - 7pm+++ => or the rare occasion of meeting up wif friends after sch to shop/eat/sing/rot

7pm - ZZZ => Dinner / Marking / Preparing for lessons /TV / Final Fantasy XI online / ZZZ

Sat - Sun
Getting my life back whenever possible

On top of that,
24hrs @ Random from students even when u are on "Away" or "Busy" modes
MSN -> Hello!
MSN -> Are you there?
MSN -> Oi, answer lei!
MSN -> There?
--------------------------------------

Just realised that teachers like me are the worst paid nannies/maid. You got to "bao" everything. Educator (sch/home), Counseller/Advisor, Friend, Acting-Family-Member, you name it, we got it.

Sometimes it is hard to differentiate whether I am just working 24hrs round the clock, or am I doing my part as a friend of these kids?

Whatever. My current motto: Get me a life. Sch ends at 1pm Mondays to Fridays.

Kids lonely at home? How can that be. Nowadays, kids have internet access (dunno its for studies, chat or surfing dunno wat), and best of all they have handphones, for chatting with whooosoever they wish without their concerned (but to them, its'kay-poh') parents' knowledge. Best of all, the all so popular, "Magic Cards" seems to be able to perform the magic of draining their pocket money...

I agree that teaching's a tough job, judging for the busy and never punctual lifestyle.. Poor thingy. So dun spend your time on your greeeat fantasy lah, i mean final fantasy.

The reason you 'bao gao liao' is because you are tooo responsible (students become your friends and you become their sugarrrdaddy??). Dun think the %&^%&#@'s tooo mean to their staffs. Too bad, maids isnt an option out for you... So, just enjoy your time with your students lor.

Give you life... you also need to have life to accept life... Think we need more sessions of shop/eat/sing/rot...

Dunno. I think they got lots of friends known as "money". Can change fone anytime they like, buy this buy that, invest in Magic Cards and not get any returns in cash or liquidities or whatever u call that. That magic card thingy sux, coz i still dunno how to play it.

Eh, dun pull in the puntuality part lei. Suan ppl must have limit, ok...? *bleah*

Nope I am not THAT responsible lor. HAHAHA, I think i rather be a maid. At least can go highlight or dye hair, dress nice nice, and seduce the boss. *omg, pun not intended. :p *

yeah, need more shopping/eating/singing/rotting. But who sponsor? You? or the Win**on. Cannot say too obvious ba, hor? WHAHAHA

Of coz. If not, why are we wasting our lives to get the money to get our lives?

-.-" what da hell am I saying?

Waste Live = Get $$$
Get $$$ = Get Life
therefore, Waste Life = Get Life
then, (a) why get $$$? (b) why waste life?

Well answered!!! I like that reasoning. Expanding on your theorm:

Waste Live = Get $$$ = Get Life

We can also argue that

spend time working = get money

Hard fact, but then, to maximise life, you need to ensure that

A + B = C
where
A: Time spent working
B: Time spent doing other things
C: Time you boss THOUGHT that you are working, and you are paid C hours of work...

So in this way, you get money and get life, but dun waste that much life... the rates are different!!! yeh!!

If A + B = C
where
A: Time spent working
B: Time spent doing other things
C: Time you boss THOUGHT that you are working, and you are paid C hours of work...

then alternatively,
C != A, and C == B
therefore
B = C

In conclusion, you can be paid by your boss for doing other things.
