4D or TOTO?
From Chris' (a PhD student) calculations:
4D:
4 numbers-- total 10,000 numbers.
Numbers of prizes: 23 (10 starters, 10 consolation, 3 tops)
Chance of winning any = 23/10,000 (or 0.0023)
Toto:
Suppose we simplify the problem, such that we only consider choosing 4 numbers out of 45 numbers (highly approximate)
Chance = 4!/(45*44*43*42)=0.000007
From past experiences, I do agree with both results from the calculations.
Conclusion: 4D is easier to win than TOTO.
Dilemma: TOTO gives you MORE $$$ if you win.

4D numbers easier to guess?

Yah, think from experience, so far have not won toto yet also. But won 4D once. I can only think of some evidence why this is true...
Evidence 1 (most compelling): In dreams, those deceased seems to have only time to give us 4 digits... Why har?? (i also dunno). I heard pple dream of 4D numbers, but not heard of pple saying, "Your so-and-so gave me 6 toto numbers!" (The dead also finds it hard to predict toto numbers!!!!)
Evidence 2: The risk-and-returns relationship. 4D means low risk, therefore garbament decided its low returns "investment", but its definately better than "scratch, scratch, scratch".
Evidence 3: Beceause its low risk, garbament decided to have it 3 times a week (so you wont lose so badly). Look at Toto, its only 1 time a week!!!
