Getting Gadgetty

Had a tiring day today. But it was fun. What did I do?

Played the game i hated most. Soccer. The most i did was to play street soccer. That is ok for me, coz the area is small, and that means less running about. Good for a lazy bummer. The best part of today's South Cluster Games was, we conceded 2 own goals, and still made it to the semi-finals. At the 3rd and 4th placing, we conceded another own goal, making a record total of 3! Well done! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeet. (Ben, if you are ever gonna see this, you will kill me.) Well, we still made it to the 4th position, and can proudly annnounce that we are the one and only primary sch team to make it to the top 4 placings. (KCPPS combined with their secondary school counterparts. It is a known fact that all the secondary school PE teachers are really physically fit...)

Anyway, I hardly made it to the pitch. Played for less than 5 mins during the first 2 matches against Townsville Pri and Catholic High Sch. Each match took just about 5 mins. Spent most of the time watching ppl play, and catching up with long-lost colleagues. I meant, friends from KCPPS whom I've lost contact with for quite some time.

Became quite a gadget-king recently, with the purchase of my O2 XDA IIi pda phone. Happened to get my free Sony HD Walkman (read previous post), got my Motorola Razr V3 Black, got another IBM notebook from the school (apart from using my own Dell Inspiron 8200). Got surrounded by all these gadgets when I brought the IBM notebook home on Wednesday. Have a feeling that this means one thing ---> More work coming soon.

Got my FREE 20GB Sony HD Mp3 Player! But got the shock of my life (in 26 years)...

Went down to Sony Square @ Marina Square to collect my free Sony 20GB Network Walkman (in short, mp3 player that is also a 20GB portable hard disk). Courtesy of Aviva Insurance and DBS Bank, coz I recently signed up for some investment plans.

Felt kinda giddy after that coz I was wearing that awful pair of spectacles. And hungry too.

Asked my friends out for dinner.
Took a cab.
Took off my cap and specs.
Closed my eyes.
After $3.20 worth of taxi ride...

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!

Piaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangg!

Woke up with a sharp pain in my right knee. And felt that the seat belt was trying its best to hold me back. Put on my specs, got out of my shock, and asked "Are you okay, uncle?"

The reply, "Yeah, damn suay. Sian. Are you in a hurry? You better go take another cab ba."

He refused to take my money, didn't charge me a single cent. I guess he was already feeling too damn lousy since he probably got to pay $2000+ worth of damanges on top of his taxi repair charges.

Now, 5 hrs after that ALMOST near-death experience, I still dunno what to say. Except that... MY NECK IS ACHING FREAKING BAD.

Anyway, I bought this number for 4D. ----> 9514
4D, anyone?

Lifeless Life

Have been wondering if I really should be living such a lifeless life.

There's this 12-year-old who seems to be bored of every single thing in life, except swimming. He smiles either when he is dreaming (in class, most of the time), or when he is at his swimming lessons.

Coming to think of it, at least he found something in life that is worth living for: sleeping, and swimming.

I needa get a new lease of life! Can't spend my time marking away, typing away, not even having time to play away. (Actually playing FFXI now as I am typing this. But it is because I have a long weekend break.)

Egg's been telling me about this Observation Lounge, a nice place to rot and view scenery while marking and drinking and munching on snacks at the same time. Haven't been able to go there coz I had been late every time I was supposed to meet Egg to rot there.

Someone sent me a message on friendster to get my ass down to kayaking. As I was replying to him, I realised that the only free day I have is Sundays. Is it worth spending one whole day by the sea sweating away? What can I do on a nice Sunday if I decide to get away from work for once?

By the way, one of my best friends just broke up with his gal of 2 years and 2 mths. Seemed that he had been crying a bit for the past few days or even weeks. Maybe he should just appreciate this new lease of life, and find someone better to fill up that now-empty space instead of crying over spilt milk.
