Stressed, finally?!

For the first time in my career life, I finally felt stressed!

Being in charge of a major end-of-year event is no joke. I was taking things quite lightly in my stride but I think pressure has somehow taken its toll on me. Pressure from where? I don't know.

Quite proud of myself to have allocated all the right people at the right places for the right duties. I am counting ALL on my wonderful colleagues and friends to help ensure the smooth running of the Prize-Giving Day 2006. But as I try not to give them too much pressure, I am also worried of tension arising between people as they are working in their respective areas. Something like that happened but I am quite glad that the smoke did not turn into fire.

Having almost messed up the training budget for the percussion performance was quite terrible. But things worked out fine eventually. And now I am half a percussion instructor! I can play the drums! Woo! Really proud of my pupils (and myself) for being so wonderful! We spent less than 2 weeks to almost reach perfection in our performance... Let's hope we can all give our best for the final one next friday!

Meanwhile, let me try to figure out what I have missed out in all that planning. Hmmm...

Tao Performance 24 Nov

Hmmm, been too busy to update entries here. Anyway, here I am!

The last performance at Tao was kinda great! It's the first time we planned everything nicely, and we received acknowledgement from the dining crowd and those watching us all over.

BUT

Each of us sang a song... and Linlin was on her 2nd song and the weather seemed to turn bad. Then as I started on my "Guardian Angel", we felt drips of rainwater. Halfway through the song, it started drizzling... and we decided to finish the song quickly and pack up first. WAA! Even though it was raining and we rushed to finish the song, the audience CLAPPED! Wondering if they clapped because we FINALLY stopped, or because I sang well. But hey, they clapped for almost every song we sang.

Next performance is scheduled on 24 Nov 2006 (Friday), 7.30pm to 9.30pm. This time, I am going to start first with "Guardian Angel" and see if it pours!
