Or in other words, UNPREPARED.
Seems that I tend to present myself unprepared nowadays. Just done with a sharing session with beginning teachers at Ai Tong Sch. I didn't even know I had to present PowerPoint slides as part of my presentation. I thought it was going to be just VERBAL.
Spent the last period squeezing out 5 slides with simple text but strong meanings. WAHAHAHA. I feel so proud of myself.
BUT at the sharing session, I forgot all about my actual lines and started churning out lines and lines of lies. Ok lar, not lies. But just putting situations / experiences into nice words that mean more than what you see/hear literally.
Sigh. One of these days, I am sure gonna get kicked in the butt for being unprepared. Will wait for that day to come. ( Wait long, long? Nvm. Better still. =p )
1st-Time full performance on stage...
Hmmm, I think I really enjoy singing on stage, or in front of a group of audience. Don't feel much stress....
Just finished singing at Tao Restaurant (Paradiz Centre) tonight. Sang about 6 songs i think. One was a request from the audience which I took up from Weiquan since he wasn't feeling well. Anyway, for the other songs that I sang, I DID NOT prepare/practice at all....... in fact, 2 of them had been chosen on the spot before we started the night's performance... Quite challenging but when I finished singing each song without any MAJOR hiccups, I felt accomplished somehow. Love that kind of feeling. The kind where you don't really know if you can accomplish something, feel kinda confident that you can (but still no guarantee), and finally, you did it!
Updating my life
Hmmm. Been donkey years since I last updated with details on what's going on with/around me. Read if you are interested. Read if you are NOT interested, coz I actually bothered to make a post here, you blockhead.
Didn't realise until recently that I've actually been having vocal lessons with Yuxuan for over a year. From the times at echomusic to Funkie Monkies Music (www.fmmusic.com.sg)... From the once a month, 2 songs at Tao Restaurant (Paradiz) to the coming 5 songs on 30th July... I levelled up???
Next is to go learn driving! Been pushing it back forever. Must learn, before I have no $$$ left for that...
SIM starting again... really don't look forward to it. I just don't like having lectures at late evenings and on precious Saturdays. Work is busy enuff, and having not many ppl to talk to in the HOD room is not exactly that fun either. I miss my good friends in the staff room.. Masni, Soh Ling, Fam, SwarnaPapa, FatPat, FatBoy(Eugene), Mdm LKY... And Eunice is really nice coz she got such a nice offer for our MacBooks... I officially announce that I own my very first MacBook finally! (And the very first time that I am using a Mac...)
Sometimes I really wonder if such a serious life is suitable for me. Hmmmmmmmm.
